Kingdom Parables 3

Heaven’s joy erupts when the lost are found. Legalistic grumbling despises mercy and refuses to join the party. Join us as we follow Jesus who seeks the lost.

Kingdom Parables 2

The one who calls us to bear our cross first bears ours. His grace is not cheap grace. The high cost of His grace produces a life of costly discipleship. Join us as we follow Jesus who makes us salty - in a good way.

Kingdom Parables 1

In a world scrambling for status, Jesus overturns the seating chart and hosts a table of grace for the least. Pride seeks the highest seat, uses people, and invites only the useful. Jesus takes the lowest place, lifts the humble, and feeds without thought of repayment. Join us as we walk together with Jesus in humility and hospitality.

Don't Forget to Praise Him

The story of Exodus is the story God’s deliverance for every believer. Life follows the path from Bondage, to Lament, to Deliverance, to Praise. Ultimately, all of life leads in one direction, the glory of God and the praise of Jesus Christ. (Revelation 7:9-17)

What is your faith story? What obstacles has God overcome to deliver you? Your suffering tells the story of God’s grace and your trials can become a testimony of His unfailing mercy. How might your story be a powerful way to share His story?

We know that God’s ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not ours. Yet, we still demand that God follows the predictable path and a clear script. But the Lord will not be explained away. He will not allow us to conclude that deliverance is a coincidence. His plan includes split seas, torn curtains, carried crosses, and abandoned tombs so that our conclusion is “This is the LORD’s doing. It is marvelous in our eyes.” (Psalm 118:23)

Jesus promised, “I am with you always.” Always extends to your moments of doubt, when the doctor says, “There is nothing more I can do,” and sleepless nights when grief keeps you awake. In the moments when you feel alone, remember that God is with you and fights for you.

In our sinfulness we cry, “Let’s go back.” Faith, on the other hand, trusts and looks, “Always forward.” Always looking to Jesus who leaves the 99 to go after the 1. Always looking to Jesus who does not let the disciples go back to their former lives. Always looking to Jesus who graciously invites us to follow Him who is always moving forward to make all things new.

“Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him.” (Psalm 37:7) Let’s be honest, being still is hard. In moments of hardship, we grab for control and demand immediate action. Sometimes the greatest demonstration of faith is to be still and quiet before the Lord.

Pray

We often panic before we pray and blame others when we are facing a crisis. Prayer is not only for those moments when you want to ask God for something. Prayer is for every moment of life. It’s for the times of joy. It’s for the times of sorrow. It’s for the times when you want to thank God and for when you question His plan. Thankfully, in His kindness, He hears our prayers no matter what.
