Message: “Count it all joy” from Pastor Micah Miller

Pastor Micah Miller - September 13, 2020

Count it all joy

Our highly spiritual culture tends to understand God and religion as “therapeutic.” Meaning, “God/religion will help me feel good.” On the contrary, the Gospel presents us with a suffering Savior who calls us to also take up our crosses and follow Him. God is at work through your pain and suffering to conform you into the image of Jesus. Reading: James 1:2-4

From Series: "Misquoted"

TWISTING THE BIBLE OUT OF CONTEXT It is all too easy to allow our cultural context to blind us to the magnificent – if sometimes hard-to-swallow – truths of Scripture. Join us as we delve into some popular misunderstandings about what the Bible has to say and what Christianity is all about. We will tackle some difficult and controversial topics, but always with both eyes fixed on what the Bible actually says. (September 2020)
