Lutheran Woman in Mission (LWML)
LWML (www.lwml.org) is the place where each woman is welcomed and encouraged to use her unique God-given gifts as she supports global missions and serves the Lord with gladness. As Lutheran Women in Mission, we joyfully proclaim Christ, support missions, and equip women to honor God by serving others. All women who are members of Prince of Peace are automatically members of LWML, even if they do not attend. Therefore, any woman is warmly welcomed at any level of participation, even just one meeting a year.

Ndoto: For Africa’s Future
Ndoto For Africa’s Future: Ndoto For Africa’s Future is a holistic, Christ-centered community development organization that works in the Obunga slum in Kisumu, Kenya. Their mission is to educate, disciple, and develop at-risk families to make their dreams a reality, glorify God, and use their gifts to transform their community. Ndoto provides sponsorship-based education to students of all ages in Kenya between preschool and undergraduate university. They mentor and disciple community members through the Ndoto Community Church, and they start businesses to create jobs, meet community needs, and generate ministry income. Ndoto was founded in 2009 to continue the Kenya ministry that Allison Schlack, POPLC member, began in 2003. The mission was part of Prince of Peace before becoming an independent organization to continue its expansion. Prince of Peace is proud to continue its partnership with this incredible ministry. Refuge of Hope Peru
Refuge of Hope Peru is a faith-based, 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to imparting the hope of Christ in Huaycan, Peru.
In 2011, we launched our ministry to provide academic, emotional, and spiritual care for at-risk and vulnerable children, teenagers, and families. Our vision is to join and empower the people of Huaycan to change the story in their homes and communities through the refuge and hope found in Christ. Refuge of Hope Peru offers Bible studies, after-school tutoring, social-emotional skills workshops, and family support through social services, such as case management and counseling. COVID-19 has created new needs in Huaycan, Peru; Refuge of Hope has responded to these needs by offering monthly food baskets to low income families, phone data and internet for students to connect to virtual classes, and financial support to community-led projects battling food insecurity.
