HAVE A QUESTION?

We'd love to answer it.

    Immanuel in Persecution

    Immanuel

Remember the story of Daniel and the fiery furnace from Sunday school? The question is, where was God? Was He in the fire which means they had to step in the fire to be with God. Or, was God Immanuel in AND out of the fire? The answer is obviously both. However, sometimes it’s in the moments of persecution, stress, and suffering that Immanuel’s presence is made known. Reading: Daniel 3:1-2; 4-6; 13-18

    From Series: "Immanuel"

Advent and Christmas are times when we celebrate that God is not some distant deity who is detached from our lives. Rather, He is present. He is in the moment. He is aware and active in the circumstances and smallest details of life. He is Immanuel – God with us. But what does it mean for God to be with us? Is it simply an assurance of His presence to make you feel better? Is God present to give you someone to talk to or a shoulder to cry on? Is He present to guide you in decisions? These might be true but there is so much more. During this series, we will look at some places in God’s Word where Immanuel showed up. Come with us as we explore God’s Word and discover that there is so much more to the God who is Immanuel – God with us.
