Pastor Will Kemp - April 15, 2018

You Will Be My Witnesses

When Jesus says, “You will be my witnesses to the end of the earth,” His disciples must have been surprised by this promise. Only a month earlier, Jesus had been crucified and all His disciples abandoned Him. How will this be accomplished with this band of misfits called the disciples? The answer comes at Pentecost when the Wild Goose is let loose. NT Reading: Acts 1: 6-11

From Series: "The Wild Goose Chase"

Christ is risen. He is risen, indeed. Hallelujah! This is the proclamation of Easter. But, what does it look like to live in the promise and power of the resurrection? Luke’s Gospel tells the story of what Jesus began. In Acts, Luke tells the story of what Jesus continues to do through the Holy Spirit. Celtic Christians call the Holy Spirit, “The Wild Goose.” Living in the promise of the resurrection is possible because the power of the Wild Goose has been let loose.
