    November 1-15, 2020

As we approach the 2020 election, let us be reminded who we are. Yes, you are a citizen of the United States and a member of a certain political party. Yes, you need to vote.

As you and the country go to the polls, the Lord calls us to be different.
We are One Nation, Under God, Indivisible.

    November 1 | One Nation
    1 Peter 2:1-10
You are not normal! That’s right, you are a peculiar people. You have been set apart, “to proclaim the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness and into His marvelous light.” Remember, your true citizenship is in heaven (Phil 3:20).

    November 8 | Under God
    Mark 12:13-17
We and the country we temporarily call home are under God. So, how do we live out our dual citizenship?

    November 15 | Indivisible
    Ephesians 4:1-6
Paul says in Galatians 3:28, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” What if we could also say of the Church, “There is neither Democrat or Republican, for we are all one in Christ.”

    THE SEARCH FOR HAPPINESS

    {This is a “mini” series for Sunday, November 22 and Thursday, November 25 (Thanksgiving Eve)}

Happiness means something different to different people. Many, in our modern society, attempt to find happiness through material possessions, a new job, or even a significant other. IN the end, though, these things often leave us just as empty as we were before. Join us as we discover that true happiness is in putting our focus on the person of Jesus.

November 22 | Contentment Equals Great Wealth
    1 Timothy 6:6-10
In a culture where many are focused on what they don’t have, God calls us to focus on His spiritual provision. Don’t lust after wealth, instead be content with what God has given you.

November 25 (Thanksgiving Eve) | Be Thankful In Who He Is
    Genesis 3:1-7
Unlike Adam and Eve, we must trust God’s authority in our lives rather than looking to take His place. You’re not God, when you try to take control of your life, you’re really losing it.
