Prince of Peace Lutheran Church offers our members a wide array of volunteer opportunities. Serve in one of our many ministries or help out on Sunday mornings through our Hospitality and Music Ministries. If you would like to impact our church and community by volunteering your time, just contact the ministry leader indicated.

Stephen Ministry Training
After training, Christian caregivers visit once a week with people going through a significant life transition, maintaining confidentiality of the conversations and prayers. Caregivers serve an assigned care receiver for up to one year.

FOOD PANTRY
Your next trip to the grocery store could be a ministry opportunity! In addition to picking up what you need for your family, purchase food for families in need in our Carrollton community. Questions? Want to help? Contact Carol Slawson.

During the seasons of Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas we collect donations for special meals for families in need. By making a donation of $40 you can feed a hungry family. It doesn’t matter the amount you donate, every bit helps! Donate HERE!
benevolence interviewers
Guests from the community and Prince of Peace receive appointments at church to discuss their basic needs and resources available in a time of life crisis. Volunteers are trained and serve in pairs to listen and coordinate appropriate relief efforts. Appointments available Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays during business hours (8:30 am – 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday).

Meals for New Moms
Our Expectant Moms Ministry is looking for volunteers to provide meals to families when they bring home their new baby. You can prepare a meal at home or pick up from a restaurant. A meal calendar is sent to you and you pick what day works best for you. Add your name to the e-mail list by contacting Kelly Boyd.

Be a part of welcoming visitors to Prince of Peace! Do you have the gift for encouraging others? Maybe your gift is hospitality or you have a great smile. The hospitality teams at Prince of Peace are a great opportunity to serve the community, build relationships, and engage in ministry. Our teams serve in a variety of roles, helping to facilitate our worship services, creating a warm environment, and making Prince of Peace the friendly, welcoming community it is today.
ushers
Usher teams at Prince of Peace are responsible for ensuring a safe and family-friendly environment during our worship services, taking care of the details and helping to facilitate a time of worship free from distractions. Some of the specific Usher tasks are pass out bulletins before worship services, take attendance, assist with the offering, dismiss people during communion, and clean up the worship space following the service. Usher teams are open to anyone and serve on a rotating schedule.
greeters
Greeter teams at Prince of Peace are responsible for setting the tone both before and after each worship experience. Greeters answer questions, get to know the community better through individual interactions, and support families getting in and out of our facilities. Greeter teams are open to anyone and serve on a rotating schedule.
guest ministers
Guest ministers seek out and get to know visitors to our church. They assist families with a wide range of services and information regarding our Prince of Peace community before and after Worship services on Sundays. Guest Minister teams are open to all Prince of Peace members and serve on a rotating schedule.

Funeral Meals
This group of volunteers donates, prepares, and serves snacks / meals after funeral services at Prince of Peace. If you would like serve in this special way, please contact Betty Radkey.
Fellowship
This team takes care of A to Z when it comes to food, drinks, and décor on Sunday mornings and throughout the year. Do you have the gift of cooking, baking, organizing or decorating? Contact Andrea Garcia.

Worship and music ministry
Prince of Peace is in regular need of volunteers for our Worship and Music Ministry. There are many ways you can serve our faith community and visitors in an ongoing way – whether it’s every week or once a month. Learn more below, prayerfully select an area to engage, and get started this week!
Communion Servers
Communion servers help with communion distribution in all of our worship experiences. Prince of Peace celebrates communion on a weekly basis. Servers assist on a rotating schedule. Communion Server teams are open to male Prince of Peace members who have been approved by the Elder Board. Completion of a training video is required. For information about becoming a Communion Server, contact Steve Sosinski, Elder Board Chairman.
Altar Guild
The Altar Guild is a group of volunteers who are charged with the maintenance and preparation of the altar and its furnishings each week. The Altar Guild is an open group for all Prince of Peace members and participation is on a rotating schedule. For information about becoming a member of the Altar Guild, contact Lisa Numrich.

Worship Band
If you are a musician who would like to audition for our worship band, contact Katie Seale today. This band leads worship at all 9:30 and 11:00 am Sunday services, as well as various midweek and special services throughout the year.
festival choir
Our choir is always looking for gifted tenors, basses, altos, and sopranos to help round out our choir. The choir participates in worship during major festival services throughout the year. Contact Katie Seale for more information.
vocal ensemble
Part of the Festival choir, this group leads worship once a month for the 9:30 and 11:00 am Sunday Services. Contact Katie Seale.
Orchestra
If you are a musician who would like to participate in our traditional worship (8:00 am) every two to three Sundays, please let Katie Seale know.
handbells
The Handbell group leads worship once a month and at various midweek services throughout the year. Contact Katie Seale.
organist
If you have played organ in the past and are available to be a substitute organist, please let

audio/visual
Opportunities are available to assist with operating the sound board, projection, and cameras at all of our worship services. No experience necessary. Training provided. Contact Katie Seale.
Worship Center Décor and Banners
Are you creative? Do you enjoy decorating and design? There are many opportunities throughout the year to help with Worship Center décor and banners. The banner committee meets monthly on the 4th Tuesday from 9:30am – noon in the Conference Center. Interested? Contact Ruthie Ottmers.
