Ms. Haupt graduated with high honors from Concordia University Wisconsin in 2005 with a BA in History and Secondary Education and a minor in political science. She hopes to begin work on a Masters degree in Renaissance History.

Ms. Haupt recently completed her AP College Board certification for U.S. History.   In her time at Prince of Peace, she has worked to develop a dynamic curriculum for her Advanced Placement students. Her passion for current events led to the design of a Current Events course where students explore global events, analyze their impact and determine their relevance to our daily lives. In addition she teaches World Geography, Government, and serves as advisor for the Student Council. 

Intrigued with politics at an early age, Ms. Haupt has worked in several campaigns for elected officials in both New Jersey and Wisconsin. She spent a summer as an intern for a U.S. Congressman in Washington, DC and worked for a semester as an intern at a presidential campaign. She loves sharing her stories of working in the nation’s Capitol because she hopes to inspire her students to be involved in the political system as well, seeing their democracy as something tangible.

It is her goal that every student know and trust that “no insignificant person was ever born”, that they each grow in mind and in spirit, and understand that life’s experiences are those that are forming us into the servants God would have us be. Her prayer is that her students gain an appreciation of history and contemporary issues and be inspired by the work of God’s hand throughout the centuries.

Ms. Haupt grew up in the great state of New Jersey and remains fervently faithful to it.  She has traveled extensively throughout Europe including participation in an UN-sponsored environmental project in Wales.  Ms. Haupt loves traveling, reading, hiking, camping, and is enthusiastic about service work both locally and internationally. She is a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church where her father serves as pastor.
