Susan Norby has resided in Plano for the past sixteen years. In those years she has raised her three children and taught preschool. Susan grew up in Wichita, Kansas and graduated from Wichita State University with a Bachelor of Arts in education. After graduating from college Susan taught second grade in Kansas until Texas Instruments brought her husband and her to Texas.
Susan enjoys teaching children of all ages, especially younger school children. Susan finds a child’s fresh outlook on life, as well as, their honesty and excitement to learn very rewarding. When you have the opportunity to stop by Susan’s room you will find a caring environment with independent learners making various new discoveries. She believes in a hands-on, multi-sensory approach where each child can move from one learning center to another. She strongly believes in finding each student’s talents and encouraging him or her to blossom with the gifts that God has given them.
Susan’s husband works at Raytheon. Her daughter and older son both graduated from Plano high schools, and her youngest son graduated from Prince of Peace. Susan plans to bring all these experiences with her to positively impact her students. She loves Prince of Peace and is excited to be a part of it.
