Mrs. Peterson’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Education, with a minor in Reading from the University of Nebraska. After moving to Texas, she graduated with a Master of Elementary Education from the University of North Texas. Her Early Childhood certification was added as well. Mrs. Peterson began her teaching career in the Plano Public Schools and then joined the Prince of Peace staff in 1996.
Mrs. Peterson loves working with children. Working with each student and knowing them and their background helps to unlock the learning potential found in each. She believes that important components of classroom teaching include helping each to increase self-confidence and responsibility and to discover ways that ignite a desire to learn. At POP one of her greatest joys is sharing her faith. She emphasizes that each student is a valuable, worthy part of God's plan.
Diane and her husband have 2 sons, ages 10 and 7. They are Prince of Peace church members and enjoy being involved in the Careciple ministry. Diane's favorite past-times include reading, taking walks, cooking, and playing and attending sports games.
