Mrs. Nelson attended Concordia University in River Forest, Illinois and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education, concentrating in Math and Science.  Angela graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1991 from Concordia.  She then began teaching in Wisconsin and later came to Prince of Peace for the 1993-1998 school years, teaching 5th grade.  Mrs. Nelson completed her Master’s Degree in Computer Education and Cognitive Systems at the University of North Texas in 1997.  After leaving Prince of Peace Angela was a computer software trainer. She is a Microsoft Office User Specialist in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  Angela returned to POP in August 2005 as the Middle School computer teacher.

Mrs. Nelson comes from a long and distinguished line of teachers.  Her father was a teacher as well as a principal.  Her mother is in her 30 + year of teaching and her older brother is also a principal.  Angela is married to Ken Nelson and they have 3 children, Kenny, Conner and Cooper, all are students at Prince of Peace.  The Nelson family attends Bent Tree Bible Fellowship where Angela is active in the Children’s Ministry.
