For the children to achieve their highest potential academically, they must have a strong faith foundation – to know that they are worthwhile, precious, and that God has a plan for their lives. Ms. Sandlin feels it is very important to appreciate each child’s individual gifts – spiritually, academically, and socially.
In the classroom Ms. Sandlin believes in creating an encouraging, supportive, and safe atmosphere. She enjoys watching the second graders use all the reading and math skills they learned in first grade to do so much more on their own. She believes that the role of an educator is to nurture the learning potential of each child and to create an atmosphere that encourages them to grow spiritually, physically, socially and academically as children of God.
