Fifth Grade

Students in fifth grade begin the transition process from elementary to middle school.  The students learn note-taking and outlining skills.  They have a homeroom teacher but move between three classrooms throughout the day.  Computer skills are taught and used in the preparation of a Power Point presentation and research paper.

In addition, the curriculum is enriched with Bible, Spanish, art, music, and physical education. The maximum class size is twenty-four and the teacher is assisted by a teacher’s aide. The students wear uniforms and attend from 8:30 to 3:30 each day.
