Habitat for Humanity Thrivent Build - 1217 H Place, Plano, TX 75056
Prince of Peace Lutheran Church has enjoyed working on this home along with other Lutheran Churches and Companies. The three specific build days were April 5, April 12 and May 3, 2008. Please check back soon for more pictures of the build. Thank you Thrivent Financial For Lutherans for all of the support both financial and sweat equity in the build! What?
1st Saturday: Reaching out into our community of Plano, Carrollton and The Colony by doing acts of kindness!
Why?
We want to be a church the moves outside and know our neighbors. Month after month we serve the same community and we start to see the same people again and again. After we gain a relationship with a person it makes it easier to share our faith, our church and our lives with them. Evangelism takes work! We care about people without the thought of any return on that investment. God is our provider and the giver of faith. We pray and ask Him to work through these relationships.
When?
Every 1st Saturday
9 am : Arrive at Conference Center (Building 9), prayer and receive assignments
9:20 am: Off to SERVE!
11:30 am: Pack up and return to the Conference Center for debriefing!
12 pm: Have an amazing day!
Hearts for Homes
This is a new opportunity for church members with Hearts for Homes.
This organization helps the elderly in our immediate area of Carrollton, Plano and Denton. There are many ways you can be involved with this ministry, please check out their website for more information www.heartsforhomes.org
