Get Involved in 1st Saturday!
1st Saturday is off to a great start. Every 1st Saturday of the month Prince of Peace Lutheran Church is heading into our community from 9am-12pm. During this past month there were 30 volunteers who were split into groups and went into the community.
- Collected a ton of canned food from one neighborhood in 1 hr.
- Spent time hanging out at Starbucks and paying randomly for peoples coffee
- Payed for laundry at two laundry-mats
- Cleaned out a few gutters
Please come out and enjoy serving and surprising the community! It's contagious. A few people we reached out to were ready to start doing this on their own throughout the day.
Next 1st Saturday is July 5, 2008. Get ready to continue the vision of reaching out and loving people with action. Please meet in the Conference Center at 9 am.
